Job Title: SQL Developer – Data
Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based data solutions within a unified data repository, ensuring high data quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business needs.
Expectations: Deliver reliable, secure, and well-documented data assets that support analytics, reporting, and operational processes; collaborate across technical and business teams; adhere to data governance standards (GDPR, BCBS 239, DORA, etc.); continuously improve data pipelines and deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze stakeholder data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and implement relational data models, tables, and APIs using MS SQL Server and Teradata.
- Develop, optimize, and automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) workflows.
- Conduct unit testing, validation, and quality assurance to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor and maintain data availability, performance, and SLA compliance.
- Document data flows, processing logic, and usage guidelines for traceability.
- Support user adoption and troubleshooting of data products.
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines (Git, Docker, Linux) and continuous delivery practices.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in MS SQL Server and Teradata database administration and development.
- Strong data modeling and relational database design capabilities.
- Experience with .NET 8+ development on Linux/Docker environments.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and automation tooling.
- Ability to work with complex data models and synthesize business scenarios.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, BCBS 239, DORA).
- Effective communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in SQL Server, Teradata, or data engineering preferred but not mandatory.
