Job Description: **Job Title:** Junior Buyer **Role Summary:** Support the senior Buyer in assortment planning, product selection, and merchandising strategy execution for assigned categories. Analyze sales performance, market trends, and store feedback to influence buying decisions, manage product life cycles, and collaborate with vendors to achieve financial targets. **Expectations:** - Full‑time, 40 hours per week (Mon‑Fri, 9 am‑5 pm). - Ability to travel to stores and showrooms for market research. - Proven analytical and communication skills to influence decisions with data. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Assist in assortment development and product selection for specified categories. 2. Participate in purchasing decisions and manage product life cycles from concept to sell‑through. 3. Execute merchandising strategies, including sales planning, pricing, and distribution to meet financial objectives. 4. Analyze sales performance, trend data, and store feedback to support in‑season adjustments. 5. Support vendor meetings, cost negotiations, and product‑development discussions. 6. Contribute to sales, margin, and inventory targets through data‑driven analysis. 7. Conduct regular store and competitor visits to inform assortment and buying decisions. 8. Collaborate with Planning, Marketing, Visual, and Operations teams to optimize category execution. 9. Manage sample inventory for marketing, internal presentations, and store needs. **Required Skills:** - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Strong analytical and organizational abilities. - Data‑driven decision‑making and influencing skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative teamwork. **Required Education & Certifications:** - College or university degree in retail, merchandising, fashion, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising or purchasing (shoe industry preferred). - No specific certifications required.
