Job Description
Job Title: Business Development Manager – Contract Manufacturing Role Summary: Drive revenue growth by securing new business opportunities in contract manufacturing for OEMs across energy, security, defence, IT, emerging technologies, and industrial markets. Expectations: - Meet or exceed sales targets and growth objectives each quarter. - Build a pipeline of qualified prospects and close deals to reach forecasted revenue. - Deliver timely, accurate proposals and estimates that result in winning business. - Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention. - Provide regular reporting on opportunities, revenue, and forecasts to senior management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Identify, qualify, and engage new prospects across target sectors. 2. Manage RFQs, coordinate cross‑functional inputs, and submit proposals and pricing. 3. Leverage industry relationships to position the company for winning contracts. 4. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted partner. 5. Record all partner data, opportunities, and communications in the CRM (SAP). 6. Plan and host customer visits; deliver presentations at the company or client sites. 7. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. 8. Collaborate with senior management to refine sales strategy and achieve objectives. 9. Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes relevant to manufacturing. 10. Provide monthly reports on new opportunities, sales revenue, and forecasts. 11. Support ad‑hoc business initiatives as required. Required Skills: - 10+ years of sales experience in manufacturing, including SME and enterprise accounts. - Proven ability to close large, complex deals in metal manufacturing (sheet metal, enclosures) preferred. - Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Self‑starter with excellent prioritization, organization, and multi‑project management. - Competency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Proficiency in a CRM system, preferably SAP. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams. Required Education & Certifications: - Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or related field.
