Job Description
**Job Title:** ML Software Engineer Intern – AI/CAD Integration **Role Summary:** Intern will develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models that enhance computer-aided design (CAD) workflows for semiconductor RFIC design, automating data preparation, model integration, and testing processes. **Expectations:** - Current enrollment in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. - Ability to work autonomously and in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Design, implement, and test code for training and serving ML models in chip design pipelines. 2. Automate generation of large training datasets and data pre‑processing. 3. Integrate ML models into existing CAD/EDA software infrastructure. 4. Write unit tests, integration tests, and maintain comprehensive documentation. 5. Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to translate model requirements into production workflows. 6. Participate in code reviews and adhere to software engineering best practices. 7. Research emerging technologies for model serving, deployment, and workflow automation. **Required Skills:** - Python programming (scripting, automation). - Familiarity with data‑processing libraries (pandas, numpy, scipy). - Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit‑learn). - Knowledge of version control (Git). - Basic file I/O, data parsing, and format conversion. - Understanding of software engineering principles and code organization. **Preferred Additional Skills:** - Exposure to CAD/EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics). - Knowledge of semiconductor file formats (GDSII, LEF/DEF, Verilog, SPICE). - Bash shell scripting and Linux environment proficiency. - Experience with workflow automation, batch processing, and data visualization (matplotlib, plotly). - Familiarity with testing frameworks and debugging techniques. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline; completion expected within the internship period.
