Job Title: Infrastructure Architect – Technology Consulting
Role Summary:
Lead design and delivery of enterprise infrastructure, network, and telecommunications architecture workstreams for senior IT stakeholders, translating complex technical solutions into clear business value and cost implications.
Expectations:
* Provide strategic guidance across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments.
* Drive architecture initiatives while managing client relationships and stakeholder expectations.
* Mentor junior consultants and contribute to business development.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead delivery of infrastructure, network, and telecommunications architecture workstreams.
• Assess current‑state IT infrastructure, networks, and telecom environments.
• Design target‑state architectures for data centres, cloud, networks, and connectivity.
• Define infrastructure and network standards, principles, and roadmaps.
• Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure strategies and migration programmes.
• Design secure, resilient, scalable network and connectivity solutions, including SD‑WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancing, and SASE.
• Advise on availability, performance, resilience, disaster recovery, and compliance.
• Translate technical architecture into business and cost implications; produce executive‑ready artefacts, roadmaps, and documentation.
• Manage day‑to‑day client relationships, workstreams, and stakeholder expectations.
• Coach junior consultants and contribute to proposal development and business growth.
Required Skills
• Hands‑on experience designing enterprise infrastructure and network solutions across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancing); telecommunications (MPLS, internet, mobile, UC).
• Understanding of SASE, zero‑trust security, 5G, SDN, and modern carrier services.
• Proven ability to engage senior IT leaders (CIO, CTO, Heads of Infrastructure).
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance performance, resilience, security, and cost.
Required Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, engineering, or related discipline.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, AWS/Azure infrastructure, or ITIL.
