Job Description
Job title: Information Security Engineer Role Summary: Secure and maintain enterprise-wide cyber, information security, and risk management systems. Oversee threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and penetration testing across multiple operating environments. Drive continuous improvement of security posture and policy enforcement while collaborating with engineering and DevOps teams. Expactations: • 5+ years of information security infrastructure experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work autonomously and in cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment. • Familiarity with regulated environments and financial services preferred. Key Responsibilities: • Configure, manage, and tune firewalls, EDR, NDR, and security servers. • Perform QA, troubleshooting, and performance analysis of security technologies. • Design and integrate security controls into infrastructure and software platforms. • Identify, assess, and deploy emerging security technologies. • Monitor enforcement of security policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices. • Investigate and respond to security incidents; conduct post‑incident analysis. • Participate in penetration testing and remediate identified vulnerabilities. • Maintain daily monitoring, maintenance, and tuning of security platforms. • Develop internal reporting metrics and dashboards. • Coordinate and document security audits with internal and external teams. Required Skills: • Proficient with Linux, Unix, and macOS operating systems. • Experience configuring and managing firewalls, firewall policies, and security server OS. • Strong knowledge of network security, data center, and cloud service security. • Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies. • Expertise in distributed systems troubleshooting and detailed analysis. • Excellent verbal and written communication. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are advantageous but not mandatory.
