Job Description
Job Title: Senior Security Engineer Role Summary: Lead design, implementation, and enhancement of security controls for a fintech organization’s cloud and on‑premise assets, ensuring protection of critical financial platforms and customer data. Expectations: • 6+ years in security engineering or analyst roles • Deep expertise in cloud security, SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and network security • Ability to collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to embed security practices • Strong incident response and detection capabilities Key Responsibilities: • Architect and deploy security controls across cloud and on‑prem environments • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM, EDR/XDR, and other tooling • Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to integrate security best practices into development pipelines • Conduct incident response investigations and enhance detection capabilities • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance measures for NIST and PCI‑DSS frameworks Required Skills: • Cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) • SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, etc.) • EDR/XDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, etc.) • Vulnerability management tools (Qualys, Tenable, etc.) • Network security fundamentals (firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation) • Incident response and threat hunting techniques • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (NIST, PCI‑DSS) Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (preferred) • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, Security+, or equivalent are beneficial.
