Job Description

**Job Title:** AI/ML Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models to produce a production‑grade AI product. Work collaboratively with a cross‑functional team, including weather data experts, to transform data into actionable insights. Ensure compliance with AI governance and security policies, and facilitate continuous improvement through retrospectives. **Expectations:** - Deliver production‑ready ML models and prototypes that meet project objectives within a 6‑month contract period. - Adhere to product AI governance and security requirements at all stages of development. - Communicate technical progress clearly to stakeholders and translate results into business actions. - Actively contribute to retrospectives, sharing lessons learned and proposing improvements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, build, and optimize machine learning pipelines using Python and relevant libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn). - Train and evaluate models on both structured and unstructured data, including JSON, CSV, and YAML formats. - Deploy trained models into production environments, ensuring scalability and maintainability. - Collaborate with domain experts (weather data specialists) to understand data nuances and business goals. - Maintain code quality through GitHub workflows, code reviews, and adherence to industry best practices. - Perform iterative prototyping, hypothesis testing, and rapid iteration based on stakeholder feedback. - Document model development processes, performance metrics, and operational readiness. **Required Skills:** - 5–8 years of experience designing and deploying machine learning models. - 4–8 years of production‑grade coding in Python with ML libraries. - Proficiency in GitHub, Jira, and code review practices. - Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities. - Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments. - Experience with JSON, CSV, YAML, and similar data formats. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field. ---
