Job Description

**Job Title:** Cybersecurity Systems Administrator **Role Summary:** Manage, configure, and monitor security infrastructure for clients. Provide proactive ticket monitoring, remediation, and security posture recommendations. Ensure secure networks, prevent unauthorized access, and troubleshoot access issues. **Expectations:** - Maintain continuous security readiness and compliance with NIST framework. - Communicate technical findings as business value to stakeholders. - Foster client relationships and promote a security‑first culture. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Monitor and respond to security alerts and tickets. 2. Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs. 3. Manage Windows Server Active Directory, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V). 4. Install, configure, and support backup/recovery and high‑availability systems. 5. Identify end‑of‑life hardware, root causes, and recommend remediation projects. 6. Resolve misconfigurations; elevate issues to appropriate teams. 7. Automate routine tasks using MS PowerShell scripts. 8. Conduct risk assessments and produce clear, actionable reports. **Required Skills:** - 1+ year cybersecurity experience, NIST framework focus. - 2+ years managing Active Directory and Group Policy. - 2+ years configuring routers, switches, firewalls (certification preferred). - 2+ years with VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar virtualization. - 2+ years with backup/recovery and high‑availability solutions. - Proficient in MS PowerShell scripting and automation. - Strong communication skills for translating technical risks to business stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and remotely with occasional on‑site visits. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. - Certifications (preferred): CompTIA Security+, CCNA, VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar.
