Job Description
**Job Title** Embedded Software Engineer **Role Summary** Develop and maintain real‑time embedded firmware for gigawatt‑scale sodium‑ion energy storage systems. Build and support test infrastructure, write automated tests, and progress toward full‑stack RTOS‑based production software design. **Expectations** - 2+ years of professional engineering experience in embedded systems. - Early‑career focus with a track record of firmware development. - Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug embedded hardware/software issues. - Commitment to disciplined code quality practices (linting, formatting, naming, commenting). - Collaborative mindset to support field‑deployed products and cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and implement test infrastructure for embedded firmware. - Write automated test suites in C++ and Python. - Provide on‑site/field support for deployed products. - Troubleshoot and resolve embedded system issues. - Develop and refine real‑time, C++‑based RTOS production code. - Enforce modern, disciplined development practices (Clang linting, code formatting, documentation). - Participate in code reviews and continuous integration (CI) pipelines. **Required Skills** - Proficient in C++, embedded C/C++ firmware development. - Experience with real‑time operating systems (RTOS). - Familiarity with Python for scripting and test automation. - Comfortable using Linux development environments. - Skilled in hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.). - Knowledge of version control (Git, GitHub) and CI/CD tools (Earthly, Docker, or equivalent). - Strong coding standards adherence (linting, formatting, commenting). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field. - No specific certifications required.
