**Job title**
AI Tech Lead – Earth Observation (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, development, and deployment of deep‑learning solutions for satellite imagery within the Earth Observation unit. Serve as technical champion, driving innovation from project conception through industrialization while collaborating with agency partners (e.g., CNES, ESA) and research consortia.
**Expectations**
- Autonomously manage end‑to‑end AI projects, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
- Deliver high‑quality proposals, technical reports, and scientific publications.
- Mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering skills growth and knowledge sharing.
- Represent the organization at client meetings and conferences, communicating complex AI concepts clearly.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Conduct continuous technology surveillance of CNNs, foundation models, and computer‑vision methods.
2. Propose and evaluate new tools and methodologies to improve predictive performance and operational relevance.
3. Analyze client briefs, design custom architectures, and craft compelling technical responses to calls for proposals.
4. Lead research studies, from data preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
5. Solve intricate technical challenges, make decisive architecture decisions, and uphold solution quality.
6. Supervise model training, fine‑tuning, and industrialization on scalable infra.
7. Generate scientific outputs (reports, conference presentations, peer‑reviewed papers).
8. Maintain rigorous documentation and facilitate cross‑team collaboration.
**Required Skills**

- Deep‑learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and model architecture design.
- Satellite image processing, optical remote sensing, and advanced image filtering.
- Applied mathematics, statistical analysis, and scientific computing in Python.
- Critical evaluation of scientific literature and drafting of technical documents.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
