Job Description: Job Title: Automation QA Lead Role Summary: Lead the QA function, defining and scaling test automation strategy across web and mobile, while actively writing and maintaining automated tests. Drive quality integration into the development lifecycle, mentor a QA team, and collaborate with engineering and product to improve release confidence. Expectations: Deliver a robust, scalable automation framework; reduce customer‑found defects; optimize CI/CD test execution; expand QA team capacity; set long‑term quality standards for a growing SaaS platform. Key Responsibilities: - Define and own QA and automation strategy, roadmap, and quality metrics. - Write, maintain, and improve Playwright (web) and Appium (mobile) test suites. - Enhance test stability, speed, and CI/CD integration. - Manage test planning and results in TestRail; integrate with JIRA. - Represent quality in sprint planning, technical discussions, and release decisions. - Line‑manage and mentor QA engineers, fostering growth and best practices. - Collaborate with engineering and product to embed quality early in development. - Drive process improvements for releases and testing environments. Required Skills: - Extensive experience in Automation QA for commercial SaaS. - Proficient with modern web automation frameworks: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium. - Proficient with mobile automation: Appium, Detox or equivalent. - Proven line‑management or mentoring of QA staff. - Strong agile/scrum experience. - Test management expertise in TestRail; familiarity with JIRA. - Excellent communication and advocacy for quality. Optional/Nice to Have: - CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing. - API testing (Postman, REST Assured). - Multi‑tenant SaaS testing experience. - Exposure to Laravel, AWS. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant QA or testing certifications preferred (e.g., ISTQB Advanced, CSM).
