Job Description
**Job Title** Tax Manager **Role Summary** Senior leader responsible for U.S. tax compliance, planning, risk management, and strategy across a global organization. Manages federal and state corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect taxes, audits, and cross-border tax matters while partnering with finance, legal, treasury, and global tax teams. **Expactations** - 8+ years post‑qualification U.S. tax experience (Big Four or multinational). - CPA license (active or eligible) or Master’s in Taxation (MST). - Proven track record in complex tax projects, external advisor management, and cross‑functional collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead U.S. tax strategy and planning to support business growth and risk mitigation. - Oversee federal and state corporate tax compliance, return reviews, estimated payments, and provisions. - Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany analysis in line with global policies. - Coordinate sales & use tax compliance, nexus analysis, and indirect tax filings. - Serve as primary liaison for U.S. federal and state tax audits and governmental notices. - Prepare and approve technical memoranda, position papers, and complex tax issue assessments. - Own U.S. tax calendar, ensuring timely statutory and internal deadlines. - Manage external tax advisors, ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost control. - Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, advising stakeholders on impact and mitigation. - Support Country‑by‑Country Reporting and Pillar Two requirements for U.S. entities. - Advise on investment tax credits, depreciation, amortization, and incentive structures. - Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and internal controls. - Partner with finance, accounting, legal, and operational teams to enhance data accuracy and efficiency. - Mentor and provide leadership to junior tax staff as needed. **Required Skills** - Deep technical expertise in U.S. federal, state, and international tax. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. - Project management and cross‑functional collaboration. - Ability to manage external advisors and complex engagements. - Knowledge of tax technology, reporting tools, and process automation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – active or eligible, or Master’s in Taxation (MST). - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field. - Ongoing compliance with professional tax qualifications.
