Job Description

Job Title: Contract Manager – Heating & Compliance Role Summary: Responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day delivery of heating and compliance services, managing multidisciplinary field and office teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and acting as the senior operational contact for clients. Expectations: - Lead and develop engineering, supervisory, and administrative staff. - Maintain high compliance, safety, and quality standards across gas service, repair, and installation workstreams. - Deliver on KPIs, budgetary targets, and performance reporting. - Build and sustain strong client relationships; manage escalated issues. - Support onboarding, procurement, and regional growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage and mentor engineers, supervisors, and admin personnel. 2. Oversee daily operational delivery; enforce compliance standards. 3. Track and report on KPIs, budgets, material usage, and performance metrics. 4. Resolve escalated client queries and drive service improvements. 5. Assist with staff onboarding, procurement processes, and regional expansion plans. 6. Deputise for senior leaders as required. Required Skills: - 3+ years experience in contract/operations management. - Background in social housing, gas service/repair/installation, or compliance. - Strong technical knowledge and problem‑solving abilities. - Proven experience managing both technical and office‑based staff. - Excellent communication, coaching, and customer‑service skills. - Full UK driving licence. Required Education & Certifications: - Gas or electrical qualification (preferred). - IOSH safety certification (preferred). - Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
