**Job Title**
M&A Consultant Internship – BearingPoint Capital
**Role Summary**
Internship in the M&A advisory practice of BearingPoint Capital. Support senior consultants through strategic analysis, target research, due‑diligence, integration and carve‑out projects for clients in manufacturing, defense, automotive, energy, banking, and consumer sectors. Deliver data‑driven insights and play a key role in project execution over a 6‑month period.
**Expectations**
- Complete a 6‑month, full‑time internship.
- Work on live client engagements, building deliverables under guidance.
- Demonstrate analytical rigor, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.
- Contribute to project phases from market research to integration planning.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Analysis** – Conduct opportunity studies, synergies estimation, risk identification, and valuation of one‑offs.
- **Target & Market Research** – Identify acquisition or divestiture targets; perform market sizing and competitive positioning.
- **Technology Due Diligence** – Evaluate technical assets, assess fit with client strategy, and flag technology risks and investment needs.
- **Strategic Due Diligence** – Analyze market share, TAM, competitive landscape for target companies.
- **Integration Planning** – Design integration strategy, target operating model, transition plans, Day‑1 readiness, synergy capture schedules.
- **Carve‑Out Execution** – Develop divestiture strategy, target operating model, one‑off identification, and oversee execution.
- **Cross‑functional Collaboration** – Work with finance, operations, legal, and technology teams; adapt to varied industry contexts.
**Required Skills**
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in French; English proficiency acceptable.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
- Detail orientation, time‑management, and teamwork under fast‑paced deadlines.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or final year of a Bachelor’s program in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related disciplines from a reputed university or business school.
- Coursework or exposure to corporate finance, strategic management, or mergers & acquisitions.
- No specific external certifications required; knowledge of valuation techniques and M&A processes valued.
