Job Description
**Job Title** Financial Analyst **Role Summary** Provides budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for profit and cost centers across multiple regions. Prepares monthly financial reports, develops PowerBI dashboards, and supports senior management with ad‑hoc financial analysis. Works closely with program and center managers to track actual versus budgeted performance, and ensures accurate costing practices and internal controls. **Expectations** - Work under general supervision as a mid‑level analyst. - Deliver timely, precise financial reports and dashboards. - Handle confidential data with discretion. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in different locations. - Demonstrate self‑direction and prioritization in a dynamic environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Prepare and maintain budgets for profit and cost centers and present them to finance and operating leadership. - Evolve reporting packages and PowerBI dashboards to meet growing business needs. - Produce actual‑vs‑budget reports, financial and variance analyses, and provide insights on key performance indicators. - Track and monitor project performance, contract funding status, backlog, and any at‑risk metrics. - Work with accounting to enforce proper costing procedures and internal controls. - Respond to moderately complex inquiries from managers and executives, providing concise, accurate financial information. - Maintain, update, and analyze electronic financial records. - Develop additional analyses as needed with minimal supervision. **Required Skills** - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VBA). - Experience with PowerBI dashboard development and other Microsoft 365 tools. - Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, techniques, and standards. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities. - Clear written and verbal communication; proven ability to present to senior executives. - High interpersonal skills for influencing and guiding managers and executives. - Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. - Customer‑focused mindset and the initiative to identify process efficiencies. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting and/or financial analysis experience in a corporate environment (preferably commercial construction or engineering). - Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus but not required.
