**Job Title** Mobile Software Engineer **Role Summary** Own the design, development, and delivery of high‑performance native mobile applications (iOS and/or Android) for a consumer gifting platform. Deliver polished, responsive user experiences from concept through production, driving architectural decisions and ensuring scalability to hundreds of thousands of users. **Expectations** - Minimum 5 years of professional experience building and shipping native mobile apps. - Deep proficiency in Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android); strong experience in at least one language and working knowledge of the other. - Strong product‑oriented mindset: ability to translate vague goals into concrete, user‑centric flows. - Hands‑on experience with mobile CI/CD, automated testing, and release management (TestFlight, Play Console). - Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team environment. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and ship native iOS/Android features using Swift/Kotlin. - Build fluid, polished UIs with attention to animations, responsiveness, loading, and error handling. - Architect and evolve codebases for maintainability, testability, and performance. - Integrate with backend APIs; collaborate on API design to support mobile use cases. - Work with product, design, and engineering teams to translate fuzzy objectives into deliverable features. - Define mobile architectural choices to support scaling to large user bases. - Set up and maintain crash reporting, performance monitoring, and release tooling. **Required Skills** - Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android) programming. - Strong understanding of mobile platform conventions, lifecycle management, and performance optimization. - Experience with mobile CI/CD, automated testing, and release pipelines. - API integration, data modeling, and failure‑mode analysis. - Ownership mindset: ability to lead projects from problem definition to launch and iteration. - Effective written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). ---
