**Job title:** Senior Software Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead full‑stack solution development for a financial services firm’s Risk Management and Compliance group. Design, implement, test, and deploy secure, scalable enterprise applications on AWS, leveraging Java (Spring Boot) and modern front‑end frameworks while driving continuous integration and delivery practices.
**Expectations:**
- Minimum 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven track record delivering end‑to‑end solutions in a regulated financial environment.
- Strong collaboration with product owners, architects, and QA teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and develop high‑quality Java/Spring Boot back‑ends and maintainable REST services.
- Build and refine responsive front‑end components with React or Angular.
- Design and execute unit, integration, and end‑to‑end test suites.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using Harness, ensuring reproducible builds, automated testing, and rapid release cycles.
- Provision, configure, and optimize AWS cloud resources with Terraform, applying best practices for security, cost efficiency, and scalability.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies to guarantee application resilience.
- Translate business requirements into product roadmaps, integration plans, epics, user stories, and test case specifications.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from ideation through deployment and post‑release support.
**Required Skills**
- **Languages & Frameworks:** Java, Spring Boot, React or Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- **Testing:** JUnit, Mockito, Selenium/WebDriver, integration testing tools.
- **CI/CD & DevOps:** Harness, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes (optional).
- **Cloud & IaC:** AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch), Terraform, IaC best practices.
- **Observability:** CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or equivalent.
- **Agile & Documentation:** SCRUM, Kanban, user story mapping, technical specifications.
- **Soft Skills:** Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, excellent communication, and stakeholder collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (or equivalent cloud certification) preferred.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification preferred but not mandatory.
