**Job Title:** Data Science Intern **Role Summary:** Provide hands‑on support to the pharmacy analytics team, performing data cleaning, exploratory analysis, visualization, and report creation. Work under supervision to help uncover insights that influence rebate strategies, formulary decisions, and utilization management initiatives. **Expectations:** * Actively learn and apply analytics techniques in a real‑world setting. * Communicate findings clearly to cross‑functional stakeholders. * Maintain data integrity and adhere to project timelines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collect, clean, and preprocess pharmacy and claims datasets. - Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large data sets. - Create visualizations to track rebate performance and formulary compliance. - Build reports and dashboards for key metrics and market share trends. - Automate data reporting and analytics processes. - Forecast financial impacts of formulary changes. - Conduct cost‑benefit analyses of rebate strategies. - Develop prospective savings models for Utilization Management programs. - Evaluate economic implications of new drug introductions. - Explore methods to filter non‑340B claims from 340B pharmacies. - Apply statistical modeling to enhance business insights. - Investigate NLP, predictive analytics, and deep learning opportunities for clinical note data extraction. **Required Skills:** - Basic proficiency in Python or R for data analysis. - Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables). - Familiarity with SQL or willingness to learn. - Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib). - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Strong organizational and time‑management skills. - Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms. - Openness to learning new analytical methods and tools. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. - No specific certifications required, but familiarity with analytical programming and data visualization tools is essential. ---
