Job Description
Job title: Intern, Endpoint Development and Strategy Role Summary: Undergraduate internship focused on clinical outcomes assessment (COA) and qualitative research to characterize the impact of rare diseases and evaluate therapeutic interventions. The role includes literature analysis, interview transcription review, observational data interpretation, and preparation of scientific abstracts, poster presentations, and manuscript drafts for internal and external dissemination. Expactations: - Work full‑time remotely (35 hrs / week) with occasional travel to company offices. - Deliver literature reviews, data analyses, and written scientific outputs within project timelines. - Maintain clear, regular communication with supervisory staff regarding progress and deliverables. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct systematic literature reviews on diagnostic journeys, clinical presentation, assessment, and management of pediatric rare diseases. - Review and synthesize caregiver interview transcripts to capture disease‑impact insights. - Analyze cross‑sectional, observational patient cohort data and extract key findings. - Draft scientific abstracts and poster content aligned with conference and journal standards. - Compose a preliminary manuscript for submission to a rare disease or pediatric journal. - Organize and manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Required Skills: - Proficiency in literature search (PubMed, Web of Science, etc.). - Ability to conduct qualitative analysis and extract themes. - Data interpretation skills for cross‑sectional observational data. - Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) competency. - Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex scientific information clearly. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s (or equivalent MS/PharmD) program in a scientific or medical discipline, with at least one year of completed coursework. - Full‑time student status with plans to resume studies in the fall term.
