Job Description
**Job Title** Business Analyst – Temporary **Role Summary** Temporary, full‑time Business Analyst reporting to the Director of Development & Records. Provides continuous business analysis support to the Development team and leads analysis activities for BCGEU’s mobile application initiative, translating stakeholder needs into development‑ready user stories and facilitating solution evaluation and delivery planning. **Expectations** - Contribute to 1‑year engagement with a neutral, global work environment. - Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to elicit, refine, and document requirements. - Support both build‑and‑buy decisions for mobile app delivery and ensure alignment with project goals. **Key Responsibilities** - **Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement** – Facilitate sessions, capture requirements, translate business needs into clear deliverables. - **Business Analysis & Documentation** – Create SOWs, user‑facing requirement documents, break down features into epics, stories, tasks; maintain accurate, accessible documentation. - **Backlog & Release Management** – Manage Jira backlog, refine stories with Development team, plan releases, define acceptance criteria. - **Mobile App Initiatives** – Evaluate build vs. buy options, document criteria, manage vendor liaison or internal build backlog, support release planning. - **Quality Assurance Collaboration** – Clarify requirements with QA, validate delivered software meets specifications. - **Product Decision Registry** – Create and maintain a centralized register of product decisions and rationales. **Required Skills** - Business analysis and requirements elicitation. - Stakeholder management and facilitation. - User story creation and backlog grooming. - Agile and Scrum methodologies (Jira). - Mobile application development principles (build vs. buy). - Release planning and QA coordination. - Strong documentation and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. - Minimum 3–5 years of business analysis experience, preferably with mobile or software projects. - Relevant certification (CBAP, PMI‑PBA, Scrum Master, or similar).
