**Job Title**
Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care
**Role Summary**
Senior operational leader responsible for scaling and managing the London Domiciliary Care division. Drives rapid growth, optimises referral response and commissioning, builds compliant systems, and maintains high-quality person‑centred care and regulatory compliance.
**Expectations**
- Deliver measurable growth in care hours through effective referral management and commissioner relationships.
- Establish robust governance, safeguarding, and CQC‑compliant systems while scaling operations.
- Lead, mentor, and support care and office teams to maintain staffing competence and retention.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Service Delivery & Quality**
- Lead person‑centred domiciliary care; ensure independence, dignity, choice, safety, and flexibility.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels, competency, and morale.
- Act as Safeguarding Lead for adults and children.
- Oversee clinical governance, QA, audit, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as primary contact for CQC and regulatory bodies.
2. **Growth, Referrals & Commissioning**
- Coordinate responses to AQP, LA, and ICB referrals; meet contractual mobilisation timescales.
- Leverage commissioner and brokerage relationships to accelerate hour growth.
- Convert referrals quickly; collaborate with sales and senior leadership on utilisation targets.
- Inform marketing and business development aligned to commissioning priorities.
3. **Operations & Workforce**
- Plan rosters, onboarding, and mobilisation for rapid scale‑up.
- Partner with recruitment, compliance, and finance to ensure operational readiness.
- Supervise, support, and manage performance of care and office staff.
- Resolve complaints and incidents promptly per policy and regulation.
4. **Compliance & Governance**
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Social Care Act 2008, CQC guidance, Data Protection, and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
- Maintain audit‑ready systems, policies, and records across all governance areas.
5. **Service Development & Strategy**
- Contribute to strategic expansion in London and beyond.
- Identify new service opportunities (complex care, step‑down, crisis).
- Lead or support projects improving efficiency and quality.
- Produce performance reports for senior leadership.
6. **Education & Development**
- Champion induction, training, and ongoing staff development.
- Stay current on regulatory, commissioning, and sector developments.
- Support external audits, contract monitoring, and commissioner evaluations.
**Required Skills**
- Proven ability to scale domiciliary care rapidly (minimum 2 years as Registered Manager or senior ops role).
- Deep understanding of LA and ICB commissioning, AQP frameworks, and referral flows.
- Strong leadership, team management, performance oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
- Commercial acumen and growth mindset.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- IT‑literacy; proficient with care management systems.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
**Desirable**
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN).
- Existing London commissioner, brokerage, or ICB contacts.
- Experience with complex care packages.
