Job Description
Job title: Audio/Video Systems Analyst Role Summary: Operate, maintain, and continually improve audio‑visual systems that support public meetings and internal collaboration spaces. Deliver on‑site support, administer enterprise AV platforms, troubleshoot live events, and provide training and documentation to ensure seamless communications for government operations. Expectations: • Work independently while collaborating across cross‑functional teams. • Maintain professionalism and composure during high‑visibility, live‑meeting environments. • Execute real‑time decision‑making to guarantee uninterrupted service. • Uphold accurate inventory, documentation, and security compliance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain AV equipment for public meetings, broadcasts, streaming, and archival recording. 2. Administer enterprise AV platforms and meeting‑room environments; manage system configurations. 3. Plan, configure, and improve AV solutions in collaboration with departments, stakeholders, and contractors. 4. Diagnose and resolve audio‑visual issues in real‑time or time‑sensitive settings. 5. Support design, installation, and lifecycle management of AV equipment during construction or renovation projects. 6. Provide targeted training and guidance to departments and meeting participants on effective use of technologies. 7. Maintain accurate AV inventory, documentation, and compliance with security policies. 8. Recommend upgrades, enhancements, and replacement strategies to improve reliability and user experience. 9. Support portable and remote meeting setups, including after‑hours or early‑morning events. Required Skills: - Proficiency in operating and managing audio‑visual systems for conference rooms, presentation spaces, and public meetings. - Deep understanding of audio‑visual signal flow, system integration, and troubleshooting practices. - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to train and collaborate with non‑technical stakeholders. - Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution‑focused under high‑visibility circumstances. - Self‑directed work ethic complemented by effective cross‑team collaboration. - Physical capability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs and work in installed spaces. - Curiosity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field. - Five years of total work experience, including at least three years of audio‑video system support, administration, or operation. - Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (≤6 demerit points in 24 months). - Successful background checks, inclusive of criminal, FBI, CJIS security, and education/degree verification. - U.S. citizenship or lawful residence for the past ten consecutive years.
