Job Title: Sales Account Manager
Role Summary: Manage and grow major national mass‑market and off‑price home goods and accessory accounts, ensuring end‑to‑end order accuracy, commercial discipline, and compliance with retailer standards while driving strong customer relationships.
Expectations: Deliver high‑volume purchase order accuracy and timeliness, maintain rigorous financial monitoring, communicate proactively with supply‑chain partners and retail buyers, and uphold strict compliance with retailer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and monitor high‑volume purchase orders from receipt to delivery, guaranteeing accuracy and on‑time fulfillment.
- Maintain proactive communication with factories and supply‑chain partners to support key programs and protect delivery schedules.
- Liaise directly with retail buyers and planning teams to support strategic account management and align internal execution with retailer needs.
- Monitor retail calendars, promotional timelines, and open‑to‑buy windows, ensuring internal activities align with retailer expectations.
- Oversee cost sheets, margin analysis, and pricing structures, maintaining strong commercial discipline.
- Ensure adherence to retailer routing, labeling, packaging, and vendor compliance standards.
- Partner with Production, Product Development, Design, and Logistics teams to enable seamless program execution across categories.
- Develop concise buyer presentations, reporting materials, and performance recaps for internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate operational or commercial risks early, implementing solutions before escalation.
- Maintain high standards of organization, accuracy, and follow‑through across all accounts.
Required Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (margin analysis, forecasting, data‐driven reporting).
- Strong understanding of wholesale product development, production processes, costing strategies, and major retailer compliance frameworks.
- Commercial awareness with a clear grasp of retail urgency, buyer expectations, and margin objectives.
- Exceptional organizational and detail‑oriented execution ability.
- Confident, clear communication skills for interacting with senior leadership and external retail partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex programs, and rapidly changing deadlines.
Required Education & Certifications
- 5+ years of sales support, account management, or wholesale retail experience in consumer goods, preferably home goods or accessories.
- No specific degree or certification required, but relevant coursework or professional credentials in supply‑chain, retail, or business management highly advantageous.
