Job Description
Job Title: Infrastructure Engineering Intern Role Summary: An entry‑level internship focused on the design, management, and observation of water and sewer infrastructure projects. Interns collaborate with design and regional engineering teams on pipelines, booster stations, storage tanks, and pump stations, gaining hands‑on experience in civil/ environmental engineering. Expectations: • Complete a summer internship program with daily interaction with peers and industry professionals. • Participate in construction site observation and support project execution. • Engage in professional development activities and community volunteer projects as part of the program. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the design and documentation of water distribution pipelines, booster pump stations, storage tanks, sewer collection pipelines, and pump stations. • Support project management tasks for water and sewer infrastructure projects. • Observe and report on construction activities at active sites. • Contribute to team efforts and assist with additional tasks as needed to support design and regional engineering teams. Required Skills: • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience with AutoCAD. • Familiarity with ArcGIS/ESRI geographic information systems. Required Education & Certifications: • Current enrollment in an ABET‑accredited engineering program or an environmental science degree. • No specific certifications required, though interest in professional memberships and continuing education is a plus.
