Job Description
**Job Title** Complex Systems Engineer – Aeronautics (F/M) **Role Summary** Design, develop, and evolve complex aeronautical systems, including avionics and onboard functions. Lead functional analysis, system and subsystem specifications, and integration activities while ensuring safety, architecture, and performance requirements are met. Collaborate closely with the client and multidisciplinary teams in a V‑cycle development environment. **Expectations** - Minimum 3 years system‑engineering experience in aeronautics, rail, or defence. - Proven ability to analyse needs, define functional specifications, and craft traceable requirements. - Familiarity with MBSE concepts and tools (DOORS, X.ATIS, MagicDraw). - Basic knowledge of control‑systems/automation is an advantage. - Strong teamwork skills, curiosity, and a drive for continuous learning. - Proficient in English (written and spoken) for international collaboration. - Willingness to undergo necessary security‑clearance procedures. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Conduct requirements analysis and develop system‑level functional specifications. 2. Prepare and lead technical design reviews covering architecture, safety, and validation. 3. Perform technical assessment of product evolution proposals. 4. Interface directly with subsystem and project teams, ensuring cohesive integration. 5. Propose and implement process and tool improvements (REX, industrialisation, MBSE). 6. Mentor junior engineers and support skill development within the team. 7. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for System Engineering and V‑cycle processes. **Required Skills** - System‑engineering methodology (ARP4754, V‑cycle, traceability). - Experience with DOORS, MBSE tools (X.ATIS, MagicDraw). - Version control and change‑management tools (Redmine, Jira). - Analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and rigorous documentation. - Effective communication and collaboration across functional disciplines (software, V&V). **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree from an engineering school or PhD in an engineering discipline. - Minimum 3 years of system‑engineering experience in a major industry (aeronautics, rail, defence). - Familiarity with ARP4754 and related safety‑integrity standards. - No specific external certification is mandatory, but knowledge of MBSE and DOORS is required.
