Job title: Product Owner – Data
Role Summary: Lead ownership of organization‑wide data products, driving strategic roadmap, backlog prioritization, and delivery of high‑value insights. Collaborate with business leaders, data engineers, and analytics teams to translate requirements into scalable Microsoft Azure data solutions, reporting, and AI‑enhanced analytics. Ensure alignment of data initiatives with corporate strategy through agile ceremonies, functional testing, and stakeholder communication.
Expectations: • Minimum 5 years as a Product Owner in a data‑centric environment.
• Proven delivery of data products on Azure (Power BI, SSRS, Azure Data Factory).
• Strong business acumen and ability to articulate value‑driven use cases.
• Agile facilitation expertise (Scrum, Kanban).
Key Responsibilities: • Gather, formalize, and prioritize data business requirements across functions.
• Define product vision, roadmap, and backlog; set release cadence and success metrics.
• Champion agile rituals (Daily Stand‑Up, Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective).
• Oversee migration of legacy SSRS reports to Power BI, and develop new reports for strategic initiatives (learning, fraud prevention, process automation).
• Integrate AI capabilities for semantic data analysis within reporting solutions.
• Conduct functional acceptance testing, coordinate deployment, and train end‑users.
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to IT management and business stakeholders.
Required Skills: • Product ownership in data domains.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Azure DevOps, Azure Data Platform, Power BI, SSRS.
• Requirement elicitation, backlog grooming, sprint planning.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, synthesis, and facilitation.
• Ability to educate teams and align cross‑functional stakeholders.
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
• Certifications: Peer‑reviewed Agile certifications (CSM, PSA, or equivalent) and Microsoft Azure Data/BI certifications (e.g., Azure Data Scientist Associate, Power BI DA-100) are strongly preferred.
