**Job Title**
AWS Cloud Systems Administrator (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and evolve reliable AWS cloud infrastructure. Oversee production availability, performance, and security, drive automation and IaC, and support DevOps practices to deliver a resilient, well‑documented platform.
**Expectations**
- Lead the technical direction of AWS environments.
- Drive continuous improvement of infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence.
- Work collaboratively with development, product, and security teams to ensure scalability, compliance, and best‑practice implementation.
- Own documentation, processes, and governance that sustain operational quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient AWS architectures (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, etc.).
2. Configure and monitor production workloads using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and custom alerts.
3. Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
4. Develop and maintain backup, disaster‑recovery, and high‑availability plans.
5. Harden Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS) and apply IAM policies and security hardening.
6. Transition services to containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
7. Produce and maintain clear operational documentation and best‑practice guides.
8. Participate in incident analysis, root‑cause investigation, and post‑mortem documentation.
9. Mentor and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on cloud‑native solutions.
**Required Skills**
- Minimum 3 years experience in SysOps, Cloud administration, or equivalent role.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS).
- Deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture principles.
- Expertise in IaC using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitoring & alerting experience with CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Scripting in Bash and/or Python.
- Container fundamentals: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Strong grasp of IAM, network security, and hardening best practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and cloud governance concepts.
- Structured, detail‑oriented, proactive problem‑solver.
- Excellent communication and independent collaboration skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate (preferred).
- Additional certifications such as Terraform Associate, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
