Job Title: Senior Delivery Lead
Role Summary:
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a large‑scale data transformation programme within the insurance sector. Own the existing data estate, drive strategic change, and ensure timely, on‑budget execution while maintaining high quality and stakeholder alignment.
Expectations:
- Demonstrable success in leading complex data engineering initiatives in insurance.
- Strong command of project management, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to set clear objectives, monitor progress, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the overall delivery of the data transformation portfolio, from scope definition to production go‑live.
- Coach and manage cross‑functional delivery teams (data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders).
- Define, track, and report on programme metrics, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and ensure change management best practices.
- Interface with senior executives to communicate status, risks, and benefits.
- Ensure governance, data quality, and compliance standards are met throughout the programme.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in data architecture, data engineering, and modern data platforms (e.g., cloud data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines).
- Advanced project management skills (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) with a record of delivering large programmes on time and on budget.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance industry data domains, regulatory, and risk frameworks.
- Ability to analyse complex business issues, translate into technical solutions, and influence senior decision makers.
- Experience with data quality, data governance, and security best practices.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI‑ACP), or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) preferred.
