**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer (AWS)
**Role Summary:**
Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the AWS infrastructure for a new greenfield application. Build CI/CD pipelines from the ground up, ensure system performance, reliability, and observability, and develop serverless solutions using AWS Lambda. Contract duration is 6 months with a requirement for on‑site presence approximately twice per week.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver end‑to‑end infrastructure and automation within the project timeline.
- Maintain high availability and performance of cloud services.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams, providing technical guidance.
- Attend on‑site meetings (≈2 days/week) as required.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect, provision, and manage the AWS environment (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.).
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry‑standard tools.
- Write and manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
- Develop, deploy, and monitor AWS Lambda functions for serverless workloads.
- Implement observability solutions (monitoring, logging, alerting) to ensure application health.
- Optimize cost, performance, and security of cloud resources.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong experience with AWS services (including Lambda, IAM, VPC, EC2, S3).
- Proficiency in CI/CD concepts and tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
- Expertise in Terraform or comparable IaC frameworks.
- Hands‑on knowledge of observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Understanding of networking, security, and cost‑optimization in cloud environments.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Preferred AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
