**Job Title:** Senior Cloud Platform Engineer
**Role Summary:** Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of scalable, secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure for a high‑growth SaaS platform, collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver robust, compliant cloud solutions at a global scale.
**Expectation:** Deliver a well‑architected, principled cloud platform that satisfies performance, reliability, security, and compliance requirements while enabling continuous integration and delivery across multi‑scrum teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and implement Azure IaaS/PaaS services (VMs, VNet, Firewall, Storage, Key Vault, DNS, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, App Service, API Gateway).
- Configure and manage Azure Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP, and IAM across management groups, subscriptions, and resources.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and performance analytics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and run‑time operations via PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, or Python scripts.
- Lead infrastructure‑as‑code initiatives using Azure Resource Manager templates, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Conduct POCs, evaluate emerging cloud technologies, and recommend business‑value improvements.
- Drive global Azure deployments with highly segmented network architectures in public and private clouds.
- Establish and enforce security and compliance controls for all cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to build automated release pipelines and adopt CI/CD best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams and architects.
**Required Skills**
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS) and services.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure networking (VNet, NSGs, VPN, ExpressRoute) and security (firewalls, encryption, Key Vault).
- Proficiency with Azure AD/Entra ID, LDAP, IAM, and role‑based access control.
- Strong scripting ability: PowerShell, Bash, REST, Python.
- Experience with Azure monitoring tools: Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools: Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, release management.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code in Azure (ARM templates, Terraform).
- Proven track record of global Azure deployments and segmented network design.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Analytical field (Master’s preferred).
- Azure Cloud Platform certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator) preferred.
- Five+ years of cloud/infrastructure engineering experience, including Azure deployment and enterprise architecture.
