**Job Title:** Technical Delegate / Flying Doctor (Automotive)
**Role Summary:**
Provide on‑site and remote technical support to dealerships, authorized repairers, and OEM technical centers across Europe. Accelerate vehicle repair lead times, resolve complex electrical/electronic faults, and ensure first‑time‑right fixes while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining detailed case documentation.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver timely, cost‑effective diagnostics and repairs to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Maintain high KPI performance (first‑time fix rate, turnaround time, warranty compliance).
- Ensure safety and quality standards during all field and remote missions.
- Continuously feed lessons learned into knowledge bases and improvement processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Execute field and remote missions supporting multiple brands and markets.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced electrical/electronic and multiplexing faults using OEM tools (e.g., wiTECH POD, DiagBOX VCI).
- Analyse single‑vehicle and systemic issues; propose containment and corrective actions.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical bulletins to define repair methods.
- Produce technical reports, incident summaries, and action plans for engineering, quality, and after‑sales stakeholders.
- Manage the Technical Assistance case lifecycle (creation, escalation, closure) in line with service level agreements.
- Coach and train technicians on‑the‑job; develop reusable knowledge articles.
- Oversee tools, equipment, and logistics for missions; record case time, priorities, and outcomes.
**Required Skills:**
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, especially complex electrical/electronic systems (powertrain, chassis, ADAS, CAN/LIN/FlexRay, HV).
- Proficiency with OEM diagnostic platforms (wiTECH POD, DiagBOX VCI) and ability to adapt to other OEM tools.
- Expertise in ECU programming, coding, software updates, and secure gateway access.
- Advanced use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal‑tracing equipment.
- Skilled in fault‑tree, root‑cause, and guided‑diagnostic analysis.
- Ability to read and apply electrical wiring diagrams, service procedures, and technical bulletins.
- Strong technical writing for incident reports and knowledge articles.
- Effective verbal and written communication with technicians, service managers, and engineering teams.
- Proven experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and managing multiple case pipelines.
- Customer‑focused mindset with cost‑awareness and safety compliance.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Automotive technical education (e.g., degree, diploma, or equivalent certification in Automotive Engineering/Mechanics).
- OEM‑specific technical certifications or training (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license for field travel across Europe.
