**Job Title**
Senior Cloud Engineer – AWS
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and support enterprise‑grade AWS solutions that enable clients to migrate, modernise and operate their workloads securely, cost‑effectively, and at scale. Work across the full project lifecycle, advise clients, and collaborate with architects, technical leaders and cross‑functional teams.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end AWS projects, from design to running operations.
- Apply best‑practice architecture, automation, and security governance.
- Act as a technical advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to professional knowledge sharing and community initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and build AWS environments that meet client business requirements.
- Lead or participate in cloud migrations, infrastructure modernisation and managed‑service deployments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK and automate workflows using AWS CLI, Python, and Ansible.
- Ensure continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, optimisation and cost control using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and related services.
- Support and mentor architects and cloud experts, driving knowledge transfer.
- Engage with clients to promote best practices, security, performance and governance.
- Share technical insights and keep abreast of AWS innovations within the local community.
**Required Skills**
- Mastery of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, EKS, etc.).
- Proficiency with IaC and automation tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, AWS CLI, Python, Ansible.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, performance optimisation, and governance models.
- Excellent communication, consultative mindset and ability to explain complex concepts.
- Independent, proactive and collaborative team player.
- Demonstrated experience delivering full‑cycle AWS projects, especially migrations or modernisation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (minimum 5 years of professional study).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (preferred).
- Additional relevant certifications (DevOps, Cloud Security, Terraform) are a plus.
