Job Description
**Job Title:** Desktop Support Specialist **Role Summary:** Provide end‑user IT support on the trade floor, maintaining Windows desktop environments, telecom systems, and network services while ensuring compliance with internal IT policies and standard operating procedures. **Expectations:** Deliver high‑quality support, work autonomously, proactively drive improvements within the IT perimeter, and serve as a knowledge bridge between front‑line staff and central IT. **Key Responsibilities:** - Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS, application, and peripheral issues on the trade floor. - Manage and support telecom solutions (mobile phones, dealer boards, softphones). - Maintain network connectivity for users, including configuration and support of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP. - Liaise with head‑office and wider IT teams to align on norms, standards, and best practices. - Create and update quality documentation for procedures and solutions. - Follow and enforce standard operating procedures and security policies. - Act as a proactive change driver within the IT perimeter, recommending and implementing enhancements. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Windows desktop troubleshooting and system administration. - Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). - Experience with telecom platforms (mobile, dealer board, softphone). - Competence in documenting processes, incidents, and resolutions. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Proactive mindset for continuous improvement and change management. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience. - IT industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician preferred.
