**Job Title**
Vice President of Operations
**Role Summary**
Lead the creation and scaling of a full‐stack operations function for a rapidly growing fabless semiconductor company. Own manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and delivery, driving early prototypes through high‑volume production while balancing speed, cost, and quality under resource constraints.
**Expectations**
• Deliver predictable silicon production from early pilots to volume within 12–24 months.
• Build scalable processes, KPIs, and a high‑impact operations team.
• Maintain strong, trusted relationships with foundries, OSATs, and logistics partners.
• Achieve measurable improvements in yield, cost, cycle time, and gross margin.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and scale fabless operations from tape‑out to volume production.
- Develop operational processes, systems, and KPIs for rapid growth.
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), qualification, ramp, and sustaining production across multiple products.
- Own external manufacturing: foundries, OSATs, test partners, and logistics.
- Drive production planning, demand forecasting, capacity management, and supply‑chain risk mitigation.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, capacity commitments with foundries and OSATs.
- Champion quality, reliability, and failure‑analysis frameworks; lead yield learning and root‑cause actions.
- Partner with engineering on DFM/DFT, process selection, and yield improvement.
- Collaborate with product, sales, and finance on commitments, cost modeling, and cash planning.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a lean operations and supply‑chain team.
**Required Skills**
- 12+ years in semiconductor operations, manufacturing, or supply‑chain, preferably in fabless start‑ups or scale‑ups.
- Proven track record taking products from tape‑out to volume production.
- Deep knowledge of wafer fabrication, packaging, test, and yield optimization.
- Experience building processes and teams from the ground up.
- Strong execution instincts, ability to thrive under ambiguity and tight timelines.
- Excellent negotiation and partner‑management skills.
- Data‑driven decision making; proficiency in KPIs, cost modeling, and forecasting.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced technical degree (M.S./Ph.D.) or MBA preferred.
