Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Protection Officer – Corporate & France (M/F) **Role Summary:** Act as a central liaison between the Group Data Protection Officer (G‑DPO) and the France DPO to support subsidiaries and internal services in achieving and maintaining GDPR and other privacy compliance. Coordinate global regulatory monitoring, spearhead compliance projects, and provide expertise to internal stakeholders on privacy‑by‑design, training, and product/vendor controls. **Expectations:** - Operate autonomously within a dynamic, multinational environment. - Lead cross‑functional projects, assess risks, and produce actionable plans. - Communicate complex privacy concepts clearly to non‑specialists. - Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of EU, national, and global privacy laws. - Achieve measurable compliance outcomes for French and corporate subsidiaries. - Demonstrate strong drafting, structuring, and analytical skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Partner with subsidiary and internal service lines to enforce corporate and France privacy requirements across prospect, client, supplier, and internal service relationships. - Coordinate worldwide regulatory surveillance and serve as the trusted internal point of contact amid increasing legal and contractual demands. - Lead dedicated compliance programs for internal service subsidiaries, notably the Digital Services Company, focusing on design‑stage compliance, staff training, and third‑party product/service alignment. - Draft policy, procedure, and documentation updates; support the harmonisation of privacy practices across the group. - Provide guidance on risk assessments, data protection impact assessments, and project compliance reviews. - Facilitate privacy training sessions and develop educational materials. - Liaise with external regulators, auditors, and partners as required. **Required Skills:** - Advanced legal knowledge (cert. Bac+5) in business law, digital law, or data protection. - Expertise in GDPR, French data‑protection law, and comparative privacy frameworks. - Project management ability: scope definition, risk analysis, mitigation planning. - Strong written and oral communication; capacity to simplify complex legal matters. - High‑level English proficiency for international communication. - Proactive, meticulous, service‑oriented, and adaptable to evolving compliance landscapes. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Law degree, Master’s level (Bac+5) in business, digital, advanced technology, or data law. - Minimum of 2‑3 years’ experience in a comparable role; 5 years preferred. - Professional certification (e.g., IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent) is a plus.
