Job Title: Head of Data Science Role Summary: Lead development and delivery of advanced data science solutions to enhance operational decision-making, service performance, and patient care through predictive and prescriptive analytics. Collaborate with senior leadership to build analytical capabilities and drive organizational resilience. Expectations: Establish long-term analytical strategies, optimize forecasting models for demand/capacity planning, and drive innovation in data-driven decision-making. Ensure alignment with Trust-wide goals and financial objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and refine predictive models, machine-learning tools, and demand forecasting systems. - Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement. - Lead and manage the Data Science team, ensuring accurate, timely analytical outputs. - Coordinate performance reporting, resource planning, and stakeholder communication for data insights. - Oversee financial management, compliance with governance standards, and data quality protocols. Required Skills: Advanced analytics proficiency (predictive/prescriptive modeling, machine learning); strategic leadership in cross-functional teams; expertise in data interpretation and visualization; strong project management and stakeholder engagement. Required Education & Certifications: Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Certifications in advanced analytics tools (e.g., SAS, Python, Azure) or data science methodologies preferred.
