Data & AI Impact Consultant Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and evolve data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Data Fabric) with a focus on reusability, AI‑readiness, and business value. Act as a technical consultant delivering customer‑centric solutions, coaching peers, and contributing to business growth and community initiatives.
**Expactations**
- 3+ years in data engineering or analytics projects.
- Fluency in Dutch and English; French is an asset.
- Demonstrated consultancy mindset: solution‑oriented delivery, partner approach, and measurable business impact.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect and build modern data platforms using Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Storage, Purview, Functions) and/or Databricks.
- Develop reusable components and AI‑ready solutions (prompt engineering, GenAI integration, monitoring, automation).
- Translate customer needs into technical architecture, ensuring value today and scalability for tomorrow.
- Mentor and share knowledge with teammates, providing coaching, feedback, and best‑practice documentation.
- Contribute to business development, community engagement, and internal initiatives beyond project scope.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in Azure data services and/or Databricks.
- Strong data‑engineering fundamentals: ETL/ELT, data modeling, transformation, and data quality.
- Familiarity with AI concepts and their application in data products (prompt engineering, GenAI).
- Structured thinking, flexibility, and adaptability to changing contexts.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, and a proactive, solution‑driven attitude.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant Azure or Databricks certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Databricks Certified Data Engineer).
