Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Contract Operations Analyst **Role Summary** The Senior Contract Operations Analyst manages end‑to‑end commercial contract operations for Statkraft’s UK market access portfolio. The role ensures accurate data integrity, compliance, billing, and financial reporting, while driving process optimisation and stakeholder communication in a fast‑paced energy market environment. **Expectations** - Independently lead complex contract lifecycle processes, including settlement, invoicing, rebilling, and Elexon reconciliation. - Identify and mitigate operational risks; initiate proactive controls. - Build and maintain reliable interfaces with internal teams and external partners. - Communicate complex operational concepts to stakeholders at all levels. - Support knowledge transfer to junior analysts and participate in cross‑functional initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform daily contract operations: balance and contract settlement, invoicing/self‑billing, rebilling, and Elexon reconciliation. - Analyse and resolve complex customer and stakeholder requests. - Contribute to P&L reporting and financial reporting accuracy. - Detect operational risks and implement mitigating actions. - Manage relationships with internal business‑development teams, support functions, and external customers. - Lead or coordinate process optimisation and automation projects, collaborating with IT. - Develop and maintain detailed process documentation for transparency and continuity. **Required Skills** - Extensive operational experience in the UK energy sector (flexibility markets, balancing services, DER). - Strong contract‑management expertise; knowledge of market communication and settlement processes. - Advanced data analysis skills: SQL for report creation, data extraction and analysis; scripting knowledge (Python, etc.) an advantage. - Familiarity with energy‑management data systems. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail orientation. - Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication abilities. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, finance, accounting, or a related field. - Professional experience (typically 5+ years) in a similar operations‑focused role in the energy industry.
