Data Engineer

Job Description

Job title: Data Engineer Role Summary: Design, construct, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines and data warehouse solutions that transform raw data into analytics‑ready formats for reporting and advanced analytics. Expactations: Deliver reliable, scalable data infrastructure; collaborate cross‑functionally; communicate effectively in Dutch or French, with proficiency in English; continuously improve processes and adopt new technologies. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and test ETL pipelines to integrate multiple data sources. • Build and maintain data warehouse environments, ensuring data quality and lineage. • Optimize data flows for performance and scalability. • Produce and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholder use. • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs. • Document architecture, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. • Monitor and resolve data pipeline and warehouse issues. Required Skills: • Hands‑on experience with ETL and data pipeline development. • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling. • Familiarity with data warehouse design patterns (Kimball, Data Vault). • Experience with enterprise ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, etc.). • Knowledge of cloud data platforms: Oracle, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure (or equivalent). • Ability to manage complex, multi‑source data environments. • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Fluency in Dutch or French; strong English proficiency. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related field. • Certifications in cloud data services (AWS, GCP, Azure) or ETL tools are a plus.
