Job Description
Job Title: Programme Director – Cyber & Data Security Role Summary: Lead delivery of an active information security programme across cyber and data security domains, overseeing multiple workstreams and projects in a complex public sector environment. Provide strategic oversight, governance, executive engagement, and selective project involvement while managing internal teams and third‑party partners. Expactations: • Deliver the programme within defined time, budget, and quality standards. • Maintain strategic alignment with organisational technology, compliance, and data protection objectives. • Forge and sustain executive relationships, particularly with the CIO and leadership teams across Data Protection, Compliance, Technology Operations, and Infrastructure. • Ensure robust programme governance, risk, and financial management. Key Responsibilities: • Direct a team of 10+ staff and coordinate external vendors and delivery partners. • Develop and present Steering Committee reports, executive‑level updates, and decision‑making briefs. • Manage programme financials, risks, and dependencies with an emphasis on cyber risk and data security outcomes. • Oversee the execution of multiple parallel workstreams and projects, ensuring alignment to strategic goals. • Engage stakeholders across senior and executive levels to secure buy‑in and resources. Required Skills: • 5+ years of cyber/information security programme delivery experience. • Proven multi‑workstream programme leadership in complex organisations. • Strong programme governance and steering committee facilitation. • Financial, risk, and dependency management expertise. • Effective executive communication and stakeholder engagement. • Team leadership with experience managing 10+ staff and external partners. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are preferred.
