Job Title: Aruba Network Architect – Wifi (Hybrid)
Role Summary:
Design, build, and validate a campus‑wide Proof of Concept (PoC) leveraging Aruba OEM technologies such as EVPN‑VXLAN Fabric, VRF/UBT, Aruba Central, ClearPass, and Mobility Gateway. Lead end‑to‑end execution of LAN, WLAN, and NAC use cases, automate configuration and compliance testing, and deliver definitive documentation and guidance to client teams.
Expactations:
- Architect high‑level EVPN‑VXLAN and VRF‑UBT network designs for campus deployments.
- Assemble and provision PoC environments using Aruba CX switches, gateways, and Wi‑Fi 7/6 access points.
- Configure and validate LAN, WLAN, and NAC functionalities (AAA, segmentation, client isolation, profiling, fast roaming).
- Own full PoC lifecycle: planning, construction, testing, and handover.
- Integrate ClearPass for authentication, profiling, and policy enforcement.
- Utilize Aruba Central for orchestrated configuration, monitoring, automation, and template management.
- Produce test reports, technical documentation, and deliver customer training.
- Employ Python (Netmiko, Paramiko, NAPALM), Ansible, and Aruba APIs to automate configuration, upgrades, compliance checks, and post‑change validation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop enterprise‑grade EVPN‑VXLAN and VRF‑UBT architectural blueprints.
2. Provision PoC hardware and software stack (Aruba CX, Gateways, Wi‑Fi 7/6 APs).
3. Configure LAN/WLAN segmentation, dynamic VLAN, fast roaming, and NAC use cases.
4. Lead PoC execution, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
5. Integrate and manage ClearPass for AAA, profiling, and policy rules.
6. Leverage Aruba Central for centralized orchestration, monitoring, and automation.
7. Automate device configuration, firmware upgrades, and compliance checks using Python and Ansible.
8. Document designs, procedures, test results, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Deep hands‑on experience with Aruba CX 83xx/63xx switches, Aruba Gateways, ClearPass, and Aruba Central.
- Proficient in EVPN‑VXLAN, VRF, UBT, AAA, WLAN design, and enterprise segmentation.
- Proven track record building and validating PoCs or large‑scale campus deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and customer‑facing communication abilities.
- Python scripting (Netmiko, Paramiko, NAPALM), Ansible, and API orchestration expertise.
- Familiarity with automation best practices for configuration, upgrades, and compliance.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Aruba Certified Network Associate (ACNA) or Aruba Certified Design Professional (ACDP) preferred.
- Additional industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CSCx) are advantageous.
