Job title: Architect / Systems Administrator – IT & MSP Platforms
Role Summary:
Lead the design, evolution, and day‑to‑day operation of a managed service provider (MSP) ecosystem. Shape the architecture of monitoring, automation, ticketing, documentation, and client portal tools, ensuring integration, performance, and quality across the service stack.
Expectations:
Deliver continuous improvement of the MSP platform, maintain reliability of tool flows, and drive automation to reduce manual intervention. Provide technical leadership, user support, and strategic input on platform evolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as technical architect for the MSP ecosystem, defining and evolving architecture, integration, and performance.
- Conduct needs analysis, market research, technology selection, and integration of new tools or functional modules.
- Design and optimize data flows between RMM, PSA, client portal, documentation, and third‑party solutions.
- Perform ongoing monitoring of platform health, ensuring reliable alerts, tickets, remediation, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to industrialise recurring operations across customer infrastructures.
- Analyze recurring incidents to improve self‑remediation and process efficiency.
- Create dashboards and performance metrics for industrialised processes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to capture field constraints and best practices.
- Document integrations, automations, and operational guidelines.
- Mentor teams on MSP tools usage and contribute to the evolution of the MSP model.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years in an MSP environment.
- Deep understanding of MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA, client portal, documentation).
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation expertise.
- Ability to analyse complex architectures and propose integrated solutions.
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, and continuous improvement skills.
- Autonomy, technical curiosity, and proactive proposal orientation.
- Effective communication for bridging business needs, tooling, and operations.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: PowerShell, CCNA, MCSE, or equivalent managed‑services credentials) are a plus.
