Job Description
**Job Title:** Civil & Structural Engineer (Expression of Interest) **Role Summary:** Seeking Civil and/or Structural Engineers to join future opportunities within a UK-based firm that values innovative, sustainable infrastructure projects. Candidates should have demonstrated experience on UK civil and structural projects, proficiency in Eurocodes and British Standards, and a collaborative, proactive approach to multidisciplinary design and problem‑solving. **Expectations:** - Demonstrate technical competence on UK civil/structural projects. - Apply Eurocodes and British Standards reliably in design and analysis. - Collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. - Drive continuous learning and address challenges proactively. - Be eligible to obtain and maintain required security clearance (where applicable). **Key Responsibilities (future role):** - Design and analysis of civil and structural components for diverse infrastructure sectors. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and specifications. - Coordinate with project, construction, and client teams to ensure compliance with standards. - Identify and resolve design or construction issues, proposing technical solutions. - Contribute to sustainable design strategies and lifecycle performance assessment. - Support professional development pathways toward chartered status. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 3‑5 years of civil/structural project experience in the UK. - Strong grasp of Eurocode series (EN 1990‑1998) and British Standards (BS 1237/1257 etc.). - Proficient in design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, CSi, SAP2000, ETABS). - Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary environments. - Proactive problem‑solving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement. - Effective communication and technical reporting skills. **Preferred Experience:** - Projects in life sciences, transportation, energy/power, rail, public sector, advanced manufacturing, or industrial facilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (UK or equivalent). - Professional engineering registration (e.g., Chartered Engineer, Chartered Structural Engineer) or a valid path toward chartership (ICTE, ICE, IStructE). - Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK engineering standards and project delivery frameworks.
