Security Strategy & Enablement Lead
**Role Summary**
Lead the integration of security strategy with AI‑centric research, acting as the central coordination hub for AISI’s security function. Own planning, communications, and enablement to make security actionable across the organization and to external partners while aligning with AI safety goals.
**Expectations**
- Own and deliver a secure‑by‑design road‑map that supports rapid, safe research.
- Translate complex technical security work into clear narratives for technical teams and executive audiences.
- Maintain measurable, outcome-oriented metrics that capture AI‑specific risk coverage.
- Act as the conduit between security, engineering, research, and policy stakeholders, ensuring alignment to organizational priorities.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Lead strategic planning, OKR setting, and progress tracking for the security team.
2. Own all internal and external security communications: presentations, dashboards, updates, and assurance packages.
3. Develop reusable onboarding, stakeholder engagement, and briefing materials.
4. Coordinate cross‑cutting initiatives, risk management, and dependency resolution.
5. Represent the CISO in meetings, forums, and with external DSIT stakeholders.
6. Build and maintain relationships with engineering, research, policy, and external security bodies.
7. Translate technical security activities into stories aligned with AISI’s mission.
8. Shape an integrated AI risk narrative covering model lifecycle and safeguards.
9. Define and track outcome metrics related to AI surfaces, model custody, GPU governance, third‑party usage, and incident learnings.
10. Curate enablement resources for AI/ML teams: secure patterns for model/data handling, external API use, and shared responsibilities.
11. Coordinate AI‑governance touchpoints with DSIT, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001 preparations, and GRC.
12. Maintain a clear stakeholder map and run operating rhythm to keep security delivery aligned.
**Required Skills**

- Practical understanding of AI/ML concepts to bridge security, research, and policy.
- Experience enabling research or ML organizations and aligning security narratives with AI safety (desirable).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or equivalent preferred.
