Job Title: Systems Architect – Automotive (F/M)
Role Summary
Lead the design and integration of complex automotive systems, ensuring functional, technical, and safety requirements are met. Work closely with cross‑disciplinary teams to define architecture, select components, and manage change throughout the development lifecycle.
Expectations
Deliver system architecture solutions that align with customer needs, regulatory standards, and product strategy. Act as the technical authority for architecture, testing, and quality across all phases – from feasibility studies to final qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements, assess technical risks, and propose architecture strategies.
- Design functional and technical architecture, defining core functions, sub‑functions, and overall product structure (hardware, mechanical, mechanical devices, low‑level software).
- Identify critical components (microcontrollers, PMIC/SBC, IO, communication, software frameworks) and justify selection against performance goals.
- Develop system test strategies (Objectives A/B/C), requirement engineering, and configuration management plans (excluding product configuration).
- Provide technical deliverables for the pre‑project and project phases, ensuring continuity and supporting development planning.
- Coordinate creation of specifications, technical justifications, test plans, acceptance criteria, and qualification documents with relevant disciplines.
- Track function/sub‑function maturity, analyse test/qualification results, and produce summary reports.
- Assess impact of technical changes, maintain traceability, and manage change requests.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for project managers, discipline leads, and the client; contribute to technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Define product architecture, decide on in‑house versus external components, manage variants per system methodology, and ensure market compliance.
- Identify innovation opportunities, evaluate make‑or‑buy decisions, consolidate knowledge, and improve methods, processes, and tools.
Required Skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in systems architecture, electronic product development, or multidisciplinary technical leadership in automotive.
- Extensive experience with ECU development and integration.
- Deep understanding of hardware, mechanical, mechanical devices, and embedded software environments and associated constraints.
- Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies (MBSE, requirements, functional architecture).
- Technical English fluency (reading, writing, speaking).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage cross‑functional collaboration and drive technical clarity across teams.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Certifications in systems engineering or automotive design (e.g., INCOSE, ISO 26262) preferred.
