**Job title**
Network Architect – AWS Cloud
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise‑grade cloud networking solutions across multiple AWS accounts. Lead architectural decisions, enforce governance, and ensure security, high availability, and cost efficiency for scalable hybrid and cloud‑native environments.
**Expectations**
- Deliver robust networking solutions aligned with business and security requirements.
- Own end‑to‑end network lifecycle: design, deployment, operations, and decommissioning.
- Mentor cross‑functional teams in cloud networking best practices.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of AWS networking services and industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Architect VPC topologies, subnetting, and IP address management for thousands of workloads.
- Design, configure, and manage Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, and Global Accelerator for inter‑regional and on‑prem connectivity.
- Deploy and tune load balancing (ALB/NLB) and Route 53 routing policies.
- Implement routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) across hybrid environments.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates (Terraform) for repeatable, auditable deployments.
- Configure and enforce network security controls: security groups, NACLs, IAM roles, VPC endpoints, and flow logs.
- Participate in AWS Control Tower, Landing Zone, and multi‑account governance strategy.
- Conduct performance reviews, capacity planning, and cost‑optimization analyses.
- Create and review architecture diagrams, best‑practice documentation, and operational playbooks.
**Required Skills**
- 12+ years of professional network engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in AWS networking services: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, ALB/NLB, Global Accelerator, PrivateLink.
- Proficient in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), DNS, load balancing, and network security.
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform and IaC workflows.
- Knowledge of multi‑account AWS environments, Control Tower, and enterprise governance models.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications:
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty (preferred)
- AWS Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred)
