Job Description
**Job title** Senior Cloud Engineer **Role summary** Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services across Azure and AWS platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of compute, storage, networking, and application components. **Expectations** - Deliver secure, high‑availability cloud solutions that meet business requirements. - Operate under a fixed‑term contract, providing continuous support, monitoring, and incident response for AWS and Azure resources. - Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. **Key responsibilities** 1. Architect, deploy, and manage public‑cloud environments (Azure & AWS) including compute, storage, database, networking, and security services. 2. Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) to track performance, utilisation, and incident metrics. 3. Respond to incidents involving AWS and Azure resources; conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 4. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CLI/PowerShell, and Azure Resource Manager templates. 5. Implement and manage IAM, KMS, security groups, VPCs, subnets, routes, and other networking/security controls. 6. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to cross‑functional teams and non‑technical stakeholders. **Required skills** - Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, KMS, etc.) and Azure counterpart services. - Proficient in Terraform, AWS CLI, Azure CLI, and IaC best practices. - Strong analytical, troubleshooting and incident‑management skills. - Knowledge of cloud security principles, identity and access management, and compliance standards. - Excellent communication ability for technical explanations and documentation. **Required education & certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent cloud‑security certifications are strongly preferred. ---
