**Job Title:** VP – Cloud Engineering
**Role Summary:**
Lead the global Cloud Engineering organization, ensuring reliable, scalable, and compliant cloud operations across all product lines. Drive process standardization, performance monitoring, automation, and incident management to maintain platform uptime, capacity, and availability.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver measurable improvements in platform reliability and operational efficiency.
- Guide a cross‑functional team of cloud engineers, DevOps, and support personnel.
- Maintain strong collaboration with product, security, and compliance functions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead a worldwide Cloud Engineering team, setting vision and priorities.
- Design & implement application & infrastructure performance monitoring.
- Build and maintain automation scripts for incident response, deployment, and operational tasks.
- Oversee scheduling, execution, and governance of cloud application deployments.
- Define, track, and achieve key operational metrics (performance, incidents, chronic problems, capacity, availability).
- Lead the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of Windows, Linux, and related software.
- Establish lifecycle processes to mitigate risk and keep platforms aligned with industry standards.
- Drive incident resolution and cross‑department coordination.
- Partner with DevOps engineering to automate new software deployments to cloud environments.
**Required Skills:**
- 20+ years of senior technical leadership experience in cloud operations.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (preferred) or another public cloud platform.
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps pipelines.
- Experience in defining and measuring cloud operational KPIs.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor complex, time‑critical workstreams.
- Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent cloud‑operations credentials.
