Job title: Product Designer
Role Summary:
Design end‑to‑end user experiences for a financial trading platform, focusing on optimizing onboarding and account opening flows. Drive UX and UI solutions from research through production, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver data‑driven, customer‑centric outcomes.
Expectations:
- Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready designs within tight timelines.
- Own the full design process, from problem definition to iterative prototyping.
- Leverage user research, analytics, and stakeholder input to create impactful solutions.
- Advocate for the customer while balancing commercial objectives.
- Communicate design rationale clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research, contextual inquiry, and usability testing; synthesize insights into design opportunities.
- Translate business and customer needs into elegant, scalable UI designs across web, mobile, and desktop.
- Create high‑fidelity prototypes, animation, and interactive mock‑ups to communicate intent.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and QA to ensure accurate implementation.
- Continuously iterate on designs based on feedback, metrics, and changing requirements.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to improving design processes and standards.
- Maintain consistency with brand guidelines, typography, grid systems, and accessibility best practices.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of hands‑on product design in a digital product environment.
- Proven experience optimizing onboarding funnels and complex onboarding flows.
- Design experience in regulated domains (finance, medical, or analogous) with deep understanding of data, forms, and workflow complexity.
- Proficient in UX research, usability testing, and data analysis for design decisions.
- Strong UI design skills: typography, grid, color theory, responsive design, and cross‑platform consistency.
- Mastery of design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision) and prototyping/animation tools (Principle, After Effects, Lottie).
- Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Detail‑oriented, iterative mindset, and strong problem‑solving aptitude.
- Comfortable explaining design rationale to audiences with varying levels of design literacy.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Visual Design, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- Relevant design certifications (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group UX, Interaction Design Foundation courses) are a plus.
